Northville is always one of my favorite Saturday night spots. An after dinner walk through the quaint town followed by a stop for coffee at My Little Paris Cafe & Bookstore (141 E. Main St.) makes for a perfect night. Last Saturday was no exception. This time my husband and I tried Table 5 and we were not disappointed. The restaurant is cozy and warm and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Our plans to arrive a few minutes before our reservation to grab a drink at the bar didn’t work out, but we will be back and next time make sure there’s time to enjoy a seat at the inviting bar and try one of the cocktails. We were seated promptly by the friendly hostess and greeted by our server. We started with the Smoked Brook Trout Pate and it was wonderful. We shared the BLT Wedge Salad and they split it in the kitchen for us. It was an interesting twist on the usual steakhouse wedge, with bibb lettuce and soft boiled egg. I had the Panko Crusted Halibut and my husband had Brisket. Both meals were amazing. The entire meal was filled with interesting, inventive food. The presentation is beautiful and you feel like great care went into the planning and preparation of your meal. And of course, the most important part, it’s all delicious. I can’t wait to return to Table 5.
